Since his legendary performance at the 1969 Woodstock Festival, Carlos Santana has been moving audiences around the world with his rich, warm musical style. There are only a handful of guitarists able to find their signature tone and keep it fresh and relevant over many decades. Santana is one of those few. We had the opportunity to talk to Carlos and his band while they were wrapping up their residency gig at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Carlos's signature guitar tone and how a player can develop his or her own voice were the main topics of the day. Paul Reed Smith, Nicky Moroch and Michael Ault recently met up at Paul’s studio to record new video demonstrations of some choice PRS amplifiers. The PRS 30, 2 Channel "H" and 2 Channel "C" amp videos from this session are now available on the PRS YouTube Channel and on their respective pages of our website.

Paul Reed Smith and many talented PRS artists performed during the Dallas International Guitar Show April 15 – 17. PRS’s groundbreaking Quest for Tone series returned for a second year, giving an up close and personal experience to guests intrigued by PRS’s versatile and innovative new instruments, including the new 2-Channel “H” amp and Tonare Grand acoustic, while offering “ear opening” comparisons between PRS and what many consider to be the Holy Grail instruments of our time. Cody Kilby, a guitarist hailed by Ricky Skaggs for playing some of the best guitar solos in bluegrass music, soulful up-and-coming bluesman Davy Knowles, local favorite Bugs Henderson, Nicky Moroch, Kirby Kelley, Jr. Clark, Doug Sewell, and Michael Ault were among the multi-talented PRS musicians and clinicians on hand to raise the roof down south.
