PTC Custom Pickguard Design For JA-15 Model

A heavy picking Nashville artist wanted to protect his beloved JA-15 from pick scratches on the finish. The PTC team jumped at the opportunity to design a floating-style pickguard for the guitar!

In a short period of time, they were able to create something that looked aesthetically pleasing, yet didn’t call for any additional holes to be drilled into the guitar. After the pickguard was shaped and hand cut, the pickup rings were notched to allow the pickguard to slide underneath. The pre-exsiting pickup ring holes were used to fasten the pickguard to the body.
