PRS in Music City and the 49th Annual CMA Awards!
Posted Nov 04, 2015
When you hear names like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and Chet Atkins, there is almost always an association with country music. Even though these iconic country artists are no longer with us today, they've helped to establish and define country music throughout the years. I think it’s fair to say that country music has certainly changed quite a bit since those days, but there are still many household names that are currently associated with country music. Acts such as Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton, and Luke Bryan are just a few!
Country music is one of those genres you either love or hate but either way you slice it, the guitar is an iconic instrument and goes hand-in-hand with Music City. That’s where PRS fits in.
Back in the old days, the Les Paul, Telecaster, and Strat were the guitars of choice on country music stages across the world. PRS has worked hard over the years to have a stronger presence in Nashville and country music as a whole. From classic country and country rock, to the Grand ‘Ol Opry, recording studios, and session players in town, PRS is proud to be working with some of “yesterday’s” and “today’s” artists. We are honored that so many have chosen PRS as their axe of choice to achieve a sound and tone that's unique and desirable in today’s country music.
