In this blog, meet three new 2025 USA models: the Standard 24 Satin, Swamp Ash Special, and Swamp Ash Special Maple!
As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we're excited to introduce these new models that pay homage to the foundations of our company and significant models from our past. Meet the new models below!
Standard 24 Satin
In the mid 1980's, a young Paul Reed Smith loaded up his pickup truck and hit the road, with him were two PRS prototypes, the all-mahogany "PRS" and the maple topped "Custom." He used these guitars to solicit orders and raise the capital to get his business off the ground.
The Standard 24 Satin is a callback to Paul's pre-factory and prototype all-mahogany guitars and blends specs that have stood the test of time with more modern PRS appointments and updates. This guitar is loaded with PRS's new 2025 "DMO" pickups which stand for Dynamic, Musical, and Open - they deliver a "wide open" vocal sound.

Swamp Ash Special
The Swamp Ash Special brings a new look to our bolt-on lineup and features a "hum/single/hum" configuration of two 58/15 LT pickups flanking a PRS Narrowfield in the middle position. If tonal versatility is a priority at your gig, this guitar offers 12 unique sound combinations all quickly accessible through the guitar's simple control layout: a volume, tone, 5-way blade switch, and dual mini-toggle coil-tap switches.

Swamp Ash Special Maple
The Swamp Ash Special Maple features all of the same great specifications of the Swamp Ash Special, but adds a maple fretboard option for an added touch of brightness.
This model offers a tight low-end, bright but mellow high-end, and a welcome twangy tone that can reach “hot country,” blues, and jazz territory making it a versatile guitar to add to any arsenal.
