Artist Feedback on the Sonzera 20W Combo

Posted Apr 18, 2019

We had the recent pleasure of hosting three incredible musicians at our Maryland factory and studio. Jack McLoughlin, Boscoe France, and Gregg Erwin each spoke of their unique experiences playing live and recording with our Sonzera family of amplifiers. If you haven't tried the Sonzera yet, you may be suprised by how much tonal ground it can cover. Meet the artists and hear their experiences with the Sonzera below.

JACK McLOUGHLIN // Session Guitarist

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Jack McLoughlin plays with an experience that belies his 24 years of age. Sharp and relaxed onstage, his live performances exude energy, excellent tonal quality, and virtuosity, all delivered with a quiet confidence that draws you in.

Touring internationally with various groups since the age of 14, Jack has shared the stage with such artists as Glass Animals, Langhorne Slim, Zac Farro (Paramore/Half Noise), The Charlie Daniels Band, Paul Reed Smith, The Oak Ridge Boys, Charm City Devils, Pat McGee, Brian Howe (Bad Company), and many others.

BOSCOE FRANCE // Boscoe France Band

Boscoe France’s authentic musical style is an awe-inspiring alchemy of blues, rock and little bit of down-home soul. In what is sure to be an unforgettable performance, Boscoe’s indescribable slide guitar skills are well matched with his “rock your socks off” style of Blues. Yes…. literally…. this Kentucky firebrand stands barefoot on stage, playing with the skill and talent of a master musician fused with the intensity of a bare knuckled brawler.

Since picking up his Uncle Duke’s guitar at the age of three, Boscoe has forged a truly unique sound. In his years of experience, he has been blessed to share the stage and open for remarkable musicians such as: BB King, Paul Reed Smith, Sonny Landreth, Keb Mo, Emil Werstler, Johnny Neel, and Jimmy Wallace, to name a few. Boscoe currently performs at music festivals and PRS guitar clinics across the country. His joys are playing music, traveling to festivals with his family, and living the good life in Western Kentucky.

GREGG ERWIN // Magnolia Boulevard

Gregg Erwin slings guitar for Magnolia Boulevard, a five-piece band out of Lexington, Kentucky. The band tastefully blends blues and rock and delivers a powerful live show. Gregg's prowess on slide is equal parts jaw-dropping and foot stomping.

In the video below, Boscoe, Gregg, and Jack share their thoughts on the versatility and reliability of the Sonzera, as well as how they each approach the amp for their respective gigs.

Tons of clean headroom, built in reverb, and a tasteful grit on the dirty channel, Gregg & Jack jam out on a pair of Sonzera 20W Combos.
