Endless Features, Elegant Design
“These basses give me everything I need for recording and playing live...all the tone, clarity, power, and feel...everything. They are works of art and great tools for working bassists.” – Gary Grainger
The Private Stock Grainger 5-String bass was designed by Paul Reed Smith and Gary Grainger. Made with the finest Private Stock woods and adorned with gorgeous Private Stock finishes, these basses are much more than a pretty face. With this bass, players can find an original voice that sits perfectly in the mix and the optional ramp and wooden pickguard make the Grainger 5 easily spec’d for your playing personality.
Gary has played with some of the industry’s top touring and recording musicians, including John Scofield, Dennis Chambers, Frank Gambali, and Nancy Wilson. Grainger basses are played by a growing number of world-renowned bassists, including Rhonda Smith (Jeff Beck), Wyzard (Mother’s Finest), and Kevin Walker (Justin Timberlake), Eric Bass (Shinedown), Bobby Lee (SOJA), James Cook (Luke Bryan), and Jon Jones (Eli Young Band).
