Setting The Pulse: Artist Duos!

Welcome to the latest episode of “Setting the Pulse" an ongoing series showcasing a select group of PRS Pulse Artists. This time, we’re showcasing four PRS Pulse Artists making waves as part of a performing duo. We proudly present Cameron Smith of Roseland, Jake Velasquez of Jake n’ Sky, Bridget Gindhart of Stars in Sapphire, and Desiree Ragoza of Team Ragoza.

Cameron Smith - Roseland

Hailing from Iowa & Illinois, the country duo known as “Roseland” began writing together in 2023. Releasing music within months, the pair quickly found acceptance in the Nashville Songwriters Association, CMAs, and ACMs. In 2024, Roseland was nominated for four Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry, winning Video of the Year. Roseland continues to create music they love sharing it with the world, playing shows across the Midwest, and creating a name for themselves along the way.

"PRS guitars have been there for me as a player and songwriter since I was young, and I will always carry PRS guitars with me as long as I live. The PRS Pulse Artist program has been amazing for me as an artist and player starting with the relationships made, support, and the shared love for the amazing instruments Paul and the team at PRS have delivered year after year. Becoming a Pulse Artist was and is a dream come true for me. This company prides itself on their quality and they have never let me down on the road." Cameron

Jake Velasquez - Jake & Sky

Hailing from South Florida, Jake n’ Sky are a sibling duo using their talents to inspire others through faith and music. As a multi-instrumentalist, Jake plays not only guitar, but also seven other instruments in addition to being an accomplished songwriter and producer. He appeared on season 15 of America’s Got Talent, he’s also appeared on Good Morning America, The View, and performed with Harry Connick Jr. He serves as Music Director at Potential Church. Together, Jake n’ Sky have performed at major events like the Special Olympics USA Games, Disney Marathon Weekend, and Universal Studios CityWalk. Their debut album, Breakthrough was written at ages sixteen and twelve.

“My very first electric guitar was a PRS SE Mark Holcomb when I was 12 years old, and it’s still my favorite to this day. PRS has always stood out to me for their incredible quality - whether it’s their guitars, strings, picks, straps, or anything else they make. Owning four PRS guitars now and using them both at home and on stage, I can honestly say they’re always my go-to. Becoming a PRS Pulse Artist has been a dream come true - it’s something I’ve hoped for since the day I started playing guitar.” – Jacob

Bridget Gindhart - Stars in Sapphire

Bridget Gindhart is a guitarist and producer based in Central Pennsylvania. She has been a part of the PRS Pulse Artist program since 2023. She performs regularly with her pop duo “Stars In Sapphire” as well as her celtic duo “Bern n’ Bridge.” Bridget co-founded both duos with her close friend Bernadette Bratina whom she met while studying music at Penn State. Since starting both duos in 2023, they’ve released two singles and have been nominated in the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards for Best Pop and Best New Artist in 2024. Bridget self-produces and records all of the duo’s material.

“Being a part of the PRS family as a Pulse Artist has been a dream come true for me. At 12-years old, I was inspired to try PRS guitars when I saw my two favorite guitarists Seth Morrison and Zach Myers play them onstage. Once I got my first PRS Guitar, it felt like home the second that guitar touched my hands. Ever since then I have been amazed over and over again at the beauty both visually and sonically of the instruments and I feel so blessed to be a part of this wonderfully supportive community and family that PRS has created. - Bridget

Desiree Ragoza - Team Ragoza

It is an incredible honor carrying out my lifelong passion with such an amazing family and being able to proudly express myself with them everywhere I go." - Desiree
