PRS at the 2023 Crossroads Guitar Festival
Posted Oct 02, 2023
PRS Guitars were front and center at the 7th Annual Crossroads Guitar Festival. The brainchild of legendary guitarist Eric Clapton, Crossroads is an “unparalleled musical event” gathering together the six-string royalty of the past, present, and future. PRS artists in attendance included John Mayer, Carlos Santana, John McLaughlin, Keb Mo, EZ Japata (Gary Clark, Jr.) and Ricky Ramos (HER). Highlights from the show included a 30-minute set from the John Mayer Trio, John McLaughlin sitting in with both Joe Bonamassa and Carlos Santana and Clapton himself joining Carlos on stage for “Black Magic Woman,” the last song on Sunday. Eric Gales was also invited and delivered a phenomenal acoustic performance on his SE P50E Parlor.
PRS Guitars - including Paul Reed Smith himself - were onsite as an exhibitor at the "LA Live Campus Guitar Center Village" with an array of guitars and amplifiers for festival goers to check out. Among the gear on display was one of ten "Pre-Factory" Santana Limited Edition guitars available exclusively through the Guitar Center 25th Anniversary Crossroads Collection. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each of these guitars will be donated to benefit Clapton’s Crossroads Centre Antigua.
