Setting The Pulse: A Pulse Artist Spotlight on Multi-Artist Bands
Posted Mar 20, 2024
Our global community of Pulse Artists currently includes over one hundred musicians, spanning 22 countries! Among them there are solo artists, studio, and touring players and of course, guitarists in working bands. In a few special cases we have two or more Pulse Artists within the same group.
In "Setting the Pulse" - a new series highlighting Pulse Artists from around the world, we begin by featuring a few of these bands boasting multiple Pulse members. We proudly present Heleven from Spain, Neck of the Woods from Canada, Stringlight from Peru and The Holtzmann Effect from here in the United States.
Heleven - Higinio Ruiz, Alvaro Castilla & Kike Martín
Heleven was formed back in September of 2016 with the goal of creating limitless music, composing songs with the ability to take you straight to your inner self, and evoking all kind of feelings within the listener.
Higinio: “Being part of the PRS family has been a big step for Heleven as a band. Feeling protected by our brand makes us feel safe on stage.”
Álvaro: “PRS Pulse has given me the opportunity to join a wonderful family of artists, stores, and specialists in the world of guitar who work every day to make our work easier. Now I feel like I can go with my PRS anywhere, having a great team behind me that supports me.”
Kike: “The sound, feel and definition of my Kestrel bass is everything to me. Since the day he was part of my life, I don't think about anything else. I am proud to be part of this great family.”
Neck of the Woods - Dave Carr & Ron Holloway
Neck Of The Woods has honed a technical, multi-genre approach to metal that sounds like the product of Devin Townsend working with Converge. Ripping, serpentine riffs and brash breakdowns make it impossible for Neck Of The Woods to lose your attention.
Dave Carr: "My trusty CE 24 has been integral to our sound in the studio and on the road. From connecting with other musicians online to seeing new faces at Neck of the Woods shows, the continued support from PRS and the Pulse Artist Program has brought our music to many new ears, making it a rewarding experience.”
Ron Holloway: "My experience with the PRS Pulse Artist program has been stellar. Being encouraged and supported by the people at PRS and the other Pulse Artists has been amazing, and I am honoured to be flying the PRS Guitars flag!"

The Holtzmann Effect - Tyler Salak & Tyler Zeiss
The Holtzmann Effect from Scranton, PA are a guitar and vocal-driven hard rock group established in 2016. Since their formation, they have released 2 EP's, 4 Singles, and are releasing their first full length album "HEL" on March 16, 2024.
Tyler Salak: “Having the opportunity to be part of the PRS family is a dream come true. I always remember looking through Guitar World magazines as a kid enamored at the stuff PRS was putting out each year. To say I am grateful to have myself and my band associated with PRS Guitars as a Pulse Artist would be a huge understatement. Working with Travis and Bev is as easy as it gets, and they always have their artists' backs. I look forward to the continued relationship and to continue playing these great guitars!”
Tyler Zeiss: “I simply love PRS Guitars. Being a Pulse Artist with them has given me lots of opportunities to upgrade my gear and get the best playing and sounding guitars out there! I don't think I could ever have anything but great things to say about how they are as a company. They support their artists and provide them with the tools needed to make their music the best it can be. I was always inspired from Mark Tremonti when Creed was hot back in the early 2000's. I always wanted a PRS and when I left the Navy, I finally worked up the nerve to purchase an SE Custom 22 that I still have and use as my main guitar to this day.”

Stringlight - Carlos Bozzo & Marco Deustua
Stringlight is a Peruvian instrumental rock band that has been able to establish themselves as one of the main bands on the instrumental and progressive rock scene in Latin America and one of the most innovative up and coming bands from Peru.
Carlos: “PRS is a strong synonym of quality in the guitar community, so when I was buying my first serious electric guitar, I tested an SE C24 and fell in love with it immediately. After I became a music producer, I only looked for PRS Guitars when looking for new sounds to add to my sound palette and I couldn't be happier to be part of this incredible brand and family.”
Marco: “Over 20 years ago I decided to start playing guitar after hearing Mark Tremonti and falling in love with his gorgeous Signature PRS. From then on, I stand firm on PRS being my favorite brand and a great ally to achieve all my goals as a musician. I'm super proud of being part of this amazing family and I can't wait to make more music together.”
